"A" stands for analog. Throughout this course you will acquire the fundamental knowledge and techniques for automotive styling and sketching, such as; proportion, perspective, volume, etc. All the basics required to correctly sketch any car in any view.
In addition, you will learn a very simple and effective Copic Marker (or similar) technique to make your sketches pop out from paper.
Main topics:
- Basic Theory. Proportion and types of vehicles (packages).
- Tracing exercises. Practice and mastering of hand drawing techniques.
- Briefing. Concept development and design direction.
- Aerodynamics fundamentals.
- Perspective: 1 and 2 vanishing points. From basic volumes to full car volumes.
- Symmetry: planar and using perspective. How to build a symmetrical volume using perspective.
- Exterior and interior views.
- Copic marker technique applied to automotive sketching.
- Copic + pastel technique applied to automotive sketching.
- Creativity exercises.
- Average Copy paper double letter sized (Tabloid, 43x28cm) aprox. 15 to 20 sheets per class.
- Bic pens, black and red or blue.
- 2 black colored pencils (Prismacolor or the brand of your preference).
- Copic markers with the following numbers: "Cool grey" 1,3,5 or 2,4,6.
- Copic marker Red (R24).
- Copic marker Black (100).
- Copic marker Blender (0).
- Scale toy car (Hot wheels, Matchbox or similar).
- Pastels (6 colors).
All the topics are covered in a total of 20 hours and imparted via Discord.
You decide the days and time for your lessons. (max 2 hours per day). From Monday to Friday.
