TVR Eresus II

  © Juan Méndez

...for this particular concept it was of course necessary to utilize a special color. Since it is a TVR and keeping with the tradition, a charmeleon paint was a nice challenge to explore and exploit.

Here, a rear aerial view of the vehicle.
Soon I will explain further details on the concept behind, when I upload the full project boards to my behnace.net portfolio.

TVR Eresus

The first final rendering of my TVR personal project.

I've always preferred to render my designs on my own (I mean without the use of a 3d model rendering software). That has helped me to discover and employ new ways...

At initial stages I use to render the ideation sketches, to get a more precise idea of the surfaces, highlights and reflections. This of course helps to get a quick notion of the direction or directions to be further followed. Nevertheless, for more advanced sketches and of course, for final design images I make an overlay from the 3d model to later render it using PS.

I'll be adding more images and info from this project process soon...

Renault sketch

© Juan Méndez

(Starting the year with a #throwbackthursday post).

One of the initial sketches from the 2020's Renault Luz exploration. The front graphics were a little more simple. However, for the final design I kept the same expression.

At this stage of course, I could play a little with the perspective and proportion drama. But, and as an advice, keep always an eye on the final package, so these early sketches can gradually and easily match later refinement needs.

The final design and all the material generated for this project can be found in my "Behance's" portfolio and in the 2020's October-December posts of this blog page.

Have a great year!
